1. How great it is to be able to celebrate our freedom and our liberty. Just scared that we are losing a lot of both.
2. Reading is a wonderful pastime. Sometimes it fills us with pleasure, sometimes knowledge. When you get both in the same book... now, that's good reading.
4. So good to sit out in the open air and listen to a live band playing patriotic songs last night. A great way to top off the Fourth of July for me.
5. Just remembering all those who gave their lives for us to have our freedom. This picture is of the cemetery on Midway Island.
I enjoyed this post. Your GGson looks too cute with a cob of corn almost as big as him.
ReplyDeleteOur little grandniece and nephew ate lots of mulberries and cherries off the bushes on the fourth here -- love your post Latane. Glad you had a nice holiday. xo

Latane! When I saw the picture of the stage in front of the Times, I thought: I was there too!! But I wasn't: we went the week before for the concert to kick off Olden Days.
ReplyDeleteYou & I may just end up at the same place and time, since we don't really live that far apart.
In fact, I had lunch in Waverly this week!
