Five of My Random Thoughts This Week

A day late but it's holiday time so perhaps you will forgive me for posting on Saturday. The meme, however, is Random Five Friday  Why don't you go over to Nancy Claey's meme and read about everyone's random five? Here are mine!

1. How great it is to be able to celebrate our freedom and our liberty. Just scared that we are losing a lot of both.

2. Reading is a wonderful pastime. Sometimes it fills us with pleasure, sometimes knowledge. When you get both in the same book... now, that's good reading.

3. How cute it was watching great-grandson at the fresh corn stand. He shucked himself an ear and proceeded to eat the entire ear of raw corn!

4. So good to sit out in the open air and listen to a live band playing patriotic songs last night. A great way to top off the Fourth of July for me.

5.  Just remembering all those who gave their lives for us to have our freedom. This picture is of the cemetery on Midway Island.

  13. Latane! When I saw the picture of the stage in front of the Times, I thought: I was there too!! But I wasn't: we went the week before for the concert to kick off Olden Days.
You & I may just end up at the same place and time, since we don't really live that far apart.
In fact, I had lunch in Waverly this week!
