song I am thinking of this morning.
1. Yesterday wasn't so beautiful. I opted to be put to sleep during a jaw tooth extraction so I was pretty miserable all day. Not from absence of tooth but more from what he put me to sleep with.
I was unbalanced all day, both on my feet and in my head. Felt nauseous off and on. Slept a whole lot. But... it's Friday, the day after. Jaw not hurting, I can walk and think much better.
I say "it's a beautiful morning, it's a beautiful day". And that awful old tooth is gone!! Yippee.

2. Earlier in the week I took a stroll around our apartment building. Residents who want them can have garden plots. And, even though it's early in the season every spot is filled with veggie and flower plants. One plot was from last year and is already filled with blooms and nice, large plants.
Here are a few of the pictures I took.

4. I am getting a few hummingbirds at my feeder now. Camera never seems to be close enough when they appear for me to get a picture but, rest assured, I will

5. I have to say that I have the upmost respect and admiration for the Mom who waded into a group of protestors (in Baltimore) to pull her teen age son out, smacking him and giving him a 'piece of her tongue'. I just wish that more Moms (of any color) would do the same.
Friday is fun day because

2. I am linking to Friday Fragments
3. I am linking to Amy's Five on Friday
Good Morning!! I'm so delighted that you've gone KINDLE! That signifies a great achievement in the publishing world, and who better for it to happen to?
ReplyDeleteWe're still wading around boxes and big cartons of stuff out of the kitchen cabinets---demo men will be here tomorrow, and then the new cabinets will go in Monday. I'm so excited (and so tired of all the mess and the commotion), but the light in the tunnel is there, and it's bright and PINK!
Happy Weekend,
rachel
Glad you have recovered from your tooth surgery. Don't which is worse the extraction or the the drugs they use to do it.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Sorry about the bad ole tooth! I've had plenty of those so I can sympathize with you.
ReplyDeleteYay for the mini garden and flowers!
Good that it's better without the tooth and I wish you, aftermath quickly gone forever. And you can enjoy your day again.
ReplyDeleteWould read your book, but my English isn't enough...
Have a nice weekend
congrats on the ebook and i am happy you are feeling better! beautiful flowers and i like that little gnome! ha, i loved that mom too...i laughed and laughed! have a great weekend and thanks for linking!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading your Friday Five. Ouch on the tooth extraction and I do hope it heals quickly. As for the mama in Baltimore, it reminded me of Tom Hanks giving a eulogy to his good friend Michael Clarke Duncan. It is a very heart-warming, funny story. If you haven't seen it you can see it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsQhB4tJRxw Thanks for stopping by on my leaving the water running, I guess it happens to a lot of us from what I have been reading :)
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot to say how pretty your photos were too. I especially loved the one with the little gnome in the background.
ReplyDeleteSorry you went through so much with your tooth extraction! But glad you are feeling much better today. The garden plots are just gorgeous! Love seeing the early flowers! I too think that Mom was awesome, wailing the tar out of her delinquent son! He said later he is glad his Mom cares about him enough to do that. It was great!
ReplyDeleteKaren at Beatrice Euphemie says she's ordering the kindle version....hope you get loads of orders, Mom!
We are finally having a wonderful spring! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI bet you were glad when yesterday ended...and glad to get up to a new day. Congrats on the books...I have a gazillion waiting for me to read, but still tempting to order this. Roger was say, "Go, mom, Go!"
ReplyDeleteI hate that groggy feeling when waking up from anesthesia! I saw a hummingbird outside my window yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Colletta's Kitchen Sink!

I always dread any kind of mouth surgery, so glad yours is over with safely.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late in popping over from FF, but I wanted to repay your visit to my blog, and say thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed getting to know you through your fragments, and your flower pictures are lovely.
So glad you have your tooth ordeal behind you :) Oh, and congrats on getting your book onto ebooks!
I saw that video, too; impressive! Congratulations on your book milestone! I'm also glad your tooth trouble is in the past. Thanks for linking up. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWhen I asked to be put out for an extraction about a year ago, my dentist wouldn't do it. Thankfully it didn't hurt and didn't feel a thing.
ReplyDeleteI love gnomes and that pretty garden.
