Friday Randoms

" Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day."

song I am thinking of this morning.

1. Yesterday wasn't so beautiful. I opted to be put to sleep during a jaw tooth extraction so I was pretty miserable all day. Not from absence of tooth but more from what he put me to sleep with.

I was unbalanced all day, both on my feet and in my head. Felt nauseous off and on. Slept a whole lot. But... it's Friday, the day after. Jaw not hurting, I can walk and think much better.

I say "it's a beautiful morning, it's a beautiful day". And that awful old tooth is gone!! Yippee.

2.  Earlier in the week I took a stroll around our apartment building. Residents who want them can have garden plots. And, even though it's early in the season every spot is filled with veggie and flower plants. One plot was from last year and is already filled with blooms and nice, large plants.

Here are a few of the pictures I took.

4. I am getting a few hummingbirds at my feeder now. Camera never seems to be close enough when they appear for me to get a picture but, rest assured, I will

5. I have to say that I have the upmost respect and admiration for the Mom who waded into a group of protestors (in Baltimore) to pull her teen age son out, smacking him and giving him a 'piece of her tongue'. I just wish that more Moms (of any color) would do the same.

Friday is fun day because

2. I am linking to Friday Fragments

3. I am linking to Amy's Five on Friday

  1. Good Morning!! I'm so delighted that you've gone KINDLE! That signifies a great achievement in the publishing world, and who better for it to happen to?

We're still wading around boxes and big cartons of stuff out of the kitchen cabinets---demo men will be here tomorrow, and then the new cabinets will go in Monday. I'm so excited (and so tired of all the mess and the commotion), but the light in the tunnel is there, and it's bright and PINK!

    Happy Weekend,

  2. Glad you have recovered from your tooth surgery. Don't which is worse the extraction or the the drugs they use to do it.

  6. Enjoyed reading your Friday Five. Ouch on the tooth extraction and I do hope it heals quickly. As for the mama in Baltimore, it reminded me of Tom Hanks giving a eulogy to his good friend Michael Clarke Duncan. It is a very heart-warming, funny story. If you haven't seen it you can see it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsQhB4tJRxw Thanks for stopping by on my leaving the water running, I guess it happens to a lot of us from what I have been reading :)

  8. Sorry you went through so much with your tooth extraction! But glad you are feeling much better today. The garden plots are just gorgeous! Love seeing the early flowers! I too think that Mom was awesome, wailing the tar out of her delinquent son! He said later he is glad his Mom cares about him enough to do that. It was great!

Karen at Beatrice Euphemie says she's ordering the kindle version....hope you get loads of orders, Mom!

  15. When I asked to be put out for an extraction about a year ago, my dentist wouldn't do it. Thankfully it didn't hurt and didn't feel a thing.
I love gnomes and that pretty garden.
